We've already had Autumn for a year. The 24th of October was the day.  Two days later was my birthday. She is my luff, as is Brutus... Yet Audi here will always hold a special place in my heart... Always. My first puppy; I trained her to do so much, and be the amazing girl she is today. I got her when she was 4 months old, and she was in a bad way. She was stuck in a tiny yard with 3 siblings and her father, she was infested with fleas, worms, and over a pound of dirt, and she was the runt of the litter, so she was horrifically terrified. She went through a bad stage of fear-based aggression, yet with patience, she snapped out of it. It took her a mere 4 days to potty train her, and by November she knew to sit, stay, shake paws, lay down, and speak. I soon trained her with the 'Touch' Method and she soon learned to touch anything I asked her to for a treat. Now she knows to bring me water bottles, remotes, brushes, she speaks, understands syllables, and even turns the lights on for me on command. But what she gives more than anything is her whole heart. She loves to please, and she will do anything just to cuddle with me and be loved. I love this monster to death, and even though she has yet to learn to open the fridge, turn the sink on, and learn all of the other amazing tricks we're working on, she's the best, most talented and loving dog I've ever known. I pray she'll be with me for many long years, and wherever I go, she will come with me. She follows me everywhere, even if it means being a half a field away, she's always with me. I love her to death, and without her, I don't know what I would do. She my truest friend and always will be. I wuvvles you, Poopy. |

Against All OddsThe men on deck dropped to their knees as the rogue wave washed over the rail of the crab vessel. Edgar extracted his baitman, Josh, from the pot on the launcher just as the wave ripped it off. Edgar slowly stood up after the water had drained away, picking Josh up as well. The crew took quick stock of the damage, realizing how lucky they had been. The 750 pound crab pot had been hurled to the other side of the deck, shearing the dogs on the launcher in the process. Any man caught in that wave could have easily been injured or killed. The remaining three men of the crew ran to secure the pot, knowing that Calypso held no mercy for stragglersAgainst All Odds
